organize your weekend activities. You will be spoilt for choice between
cultural trips, excursions to the mountains or a trip to the Aeolian

Vulcano is characterized by its hot sulphureous water springs where
having a bath is a real pleasure for the body. The third island to

The monastery of Serra San Bruno is an abbey situated in the mountains and
with a very special atmosphere. You can have a relaxing walk in the wood
nearby or have a picnic next to the small lake of Santa Maria del Bosco.
This area is also known for its delicious typical mushroom dishes. Because
of the strict seclusion of the monks it's not permitted to go into the
monastery but in the little museum you can hear about the story of the
abbey founded in 1091 after Chr. and also about the monk's life today. You
arrive at Serra San Bruno in 1,5 h. by car. The last kilometres of winding
roads will take you at an altitude of 800 metres. On your way you could
make a stop in the beautiful town of Vibo Valentia.
